BODILY INJURY~
Bodily Injury coverage pays for any person(s), who is not you or a member of the named insured household in the event they are injured or killed in an accident where you are at fault. Coverage includes medical expenses and lost wages. These coverages are subject to the limits and conditions of your policy. Most states require drivers to carry Bodily Injury coverage.
PROPERTY DAMAGE~
Property Damage coverage covers you if your car damages someone else’s property. Usually it is their car, but it could be a fence, a house or any other property damaged in an accident. It also provides you with legal defense if another party files a lawsuit against you. It is a good idea to purchase enough of this insurance to cover the amount of damage your car might do to another vehicle or object. Coverage is limited to the terms and conditions contained in the policy. Most states require drivers to carry a minimum amount of Property Damage coverage.
UNINSURED UNDER-INSURED MOTORIST~
Uninsured Motorist coverage protects you, members of your household and your passengers in an accident with a motorist who has no insurance or is under-insured. Uninsured Motorist protection also covers you if you’re injured by a hit-and-run driver. The coverage also applies to you and the members of your household as pedestrians. Coverage includes payment of medical costs, lost wages and pain and suffering. It does not include damage to property. It is required in many states. In Arizona, Under-insured Motorist protection is separate from Uninsured Motorist coverage. At Select Choice Insurance, we do not sell any auto policies without this coverage.
MEDICAL PAYMENTS~
This coverage pays medical bills and funeral expenses for you or your passengers injured while riding in your vehicle. Coverage extends to you or a family member when riding as a passenger in your covered vehicle. Costs are covered up to the amount specified by the policy.
DEDUCTIBLE~
The deductible is the amount of the loss you agree to pay or absorb in the event of a claim or accident. Let’s say you have a $250 deductible. If you have a fender-bender, and the bodywork costs $1150, you will pay the deductible – $250, and your insurance company will pay the balance – $900. With auto insurance, deductible amounts typically range from $50 to $1,000 per claim. Choosing a higher deductible reduces the cost of your insurance.
COLLISION DAMAGE~
Collision coverage pays for damage to your vehicle that results from a collision with another vehicle or object where you are at fault. Generally, the coverage reimburses you the amount needed to repair or replace your damaged vehicle, minus the deductible. This coverage is normally required if your vehicle is leased or if you have an outstanding loan on the vehicle.
COMPREHENSIVE DAMAGE~
Comprehensive coverage protects your investment in your vehicle by paying for losses resulting from fire, theft, falling objects, riots, storms, earthquakes, floods, collision with a bird or animal and other natural occurrences. Like Collision coverage, Comprehensive coverage generally includes a deductible. Comprehensive coverage is normally required if your vehicle is leased or if you have an outstanding loan on the vehicle.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE~
Roadside Assistance coverage provides towing to the nearest qualified repair facility and necessary labor at the place of breakdown when your motorcycle or off-road vehicle is disabled due to any of the following:
Mechanical or electrical breakdown
Dead battery
Flat Tire
Lockout
Insufficient supply of fuel, oil, water or other fluids
Entrapment in snow, mud, water or sand within 100 feet of roadway
GLASS COVERAGE~
There are different names for “Glass Coverage” but what you are really getting is a waiver of deductible for glass repair or replacement. This coverage is included in your comprehensive coverage, but often your deductible is higher than the cost to replace the glass. For an increased in premium, you can add a waiver to your policy and have your windows repaired or replaced with no out of pocket cost to you. Understand that this DOES COUNT AS A CLAIM on your insurance and can increase your rates in the future. Most companies will not surcharge for repair, but they will for replacement.
HINT: Check into the price of repair and replacement costs for your vehicle and weigh the benefits of having this coverage. Repairing a chip is very inexpensive. In many cases, replacing a windshield is the same as the increase in premium for an entire year.

WHAT IS AN SR22?
For various reasons, the state of Arizona’s MVD will require drivers to file provide “future proof of financial responsibility.” The most common reason would be if a driver were cited for failure to maintain proper insurance. Which could lead to the suspension of your vehicle registration and/or driver license.
To reinstate these privileges, fees and future proof of financial responsibility must be filed with MVD. The future proof requirement is most commonly an SR22 from an insurance company licensed to conduct business in the state of Arizona.
If you are required to submit an SR22, simply let us know in the comment box at the bottom of the quote request for.
